Lambeth Emerge Foundation - LEF

A pilot project that emerged during the lockdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, aimed at providing safety and resources to local communities during times of uncertainty.

The foundation acted as a meeting point for local artistic organisations focused on social development and served as a bridge between communities and governmental entities, such as the council, the police, and the Public Health Department, among others.

LEF stood out as a provider of public health solutions, facilitating conversations among citizens on complex issues such as experiences of Covid-19, climate change, and both individual and community challenges during the pandemic.

Additionally, LEF organised and pre-produced several summer events in collaboration with local community ambassadors from Willard (Clapham), Myatts Field (Stockwell and Vassall), Tulse Hill (Brixton), and Central Hill (Norwood). All health and hygiene regulations were taken into account during the pre-production of these events.
